Let Maples Be Your Social Media Wingman
I came across a book called “Never Fly Solo” by Robert Waldman yesterday that resonated with me. Air Force pilot Rob “Waldo” Waldman learned how to overcome fear, anxiety and self-doubt to fly combat missions that pushed him to his limits by using discipline and with the help of his wingmen-the pilots flying behind and outside the leader in a dangerous environment. Wingmen are people with different backgrounds, skills, and experience unified under one agreement-to never think or act alone.
For Maples Communications, it is an honor to be called a wingman. We want to “check your six”-the six o’clock position where the jet is most vulnerable, the pilot’s blind spot.
For instance, if your brand in today’s world begins and ends with search, do you have a wingman watching to make sure your company is a part of the online conversation and is getting positive buzz?
Once a client overcomes the fear and anxiety of social media, they realize their limitations on how much they can listen, manage and execute in communicating to their customers via social media. A good social media wingman will give you mission-critical customer feedback, catch your errors and monitor the online critics, ask questions, and propose challenging scenarios to push you to grow the business.
Maples Communications understands the importance of focus, discipline, integrity, teamwork, leadership, setting high standards in overcoming your fears of social media and going against the traditional marketing communications model to make a difference for your company.
Maples trumpets how companies should engage with the power of the Internet in a genuine and systematic way to become your own publisher of relevant information and news. It is our mission to watch our clients’ blind side and navigate them through the uncertainty of social media.
In today’s environment, social media communications, customer feedback, and a team invested in the company’s mission are critical to developing a stronger relationship with your customers and overcome fear, uncertainty and doubt to fly to new heights.
If you do not have a wingman to watch your online blind spot, then you and I should talk on how Maples Communications can help you overcome social media fear, uncertainty and doubt. If you want to attract new customers, increase your company Web site traffic, increase traditional media coverage and increase sales and revenue, then give me a call at (949) 855-3555 or contact me by e-mail: bmaples@maples.com.
I look forward to hearing from you soon on how we can become your wingman.
